Life hands challenges, trials, tribulations. Why doesn’t God do something? Why doesn’t he give us an easier life. Abraham had many tests but one was the supreme test. God asked him to sacrifice his son. He complied and God stopped the knife at the last moment. Why? It wasn’t that God needed the proof but Abraham needed the proving. It explains much. James in James 1 tell us we face many trials because they perfect and harden faith. Yet, we are to have “joy” in trial. The only way for that to happen is to recognize what they do for us, not what they do to us. We all get tried. God doesn’t need the proof, but we all need the proving.
