In our look at the book of Deuteronomy we quickly scan the events of the book (the speeches of Moses) and then we concentrate on chapters 5, 6 and 7 which remind us the basis of the law, God's love and his desire for the people's holiness.

Overcoming Success

In the final sermon of 2018 we take a look back and then forward. Waterview has been a successful church in the past, but we acknowledge the path to success is to keep moving forward. To inspire and encourage us we reflect on the words of Moses from Deut. 31:6.

Successful Fathers

David, Solomon and Samuel are Bible heroes. They are associated with greatness, faith and success. But they also have something else in common. While successful men, they struggled with fatherhood. All three had sons who were disappointments. Yet, all three of these fathers should have been very familiar with a passage of Scripture the Jews call the Shema. In Deuteronomy 6:4-9, there are three principles of fatherhood that makes successful men successful fathers.
