Forgiving Myself

Why do some Christians have no trouble anwering the question "Are you saved?" but struggle to answer the question "Do you feel saved?" The reason is sometimes Christians struggle to forgive self even though they believe God has forgiven them. If this is happening to you, there is a terrible, heavy burden of guilt that you carry with you every day. In this lesson, we discuss steps to lay aside this burden of guilt.

Forgiven By God

So many people live their lives hitched to their past with regret and remorse. What if it was possible to live free of that? It is and it's called "forgiveness." What Makes God Mad?

Some people have a view of God that believes he could never be mad. Yet, in both the Old Testament and the New there are many passages which detail the anger and wrath of God upon sinners. God never gets mad without a cause and he never is unjust in his anger. Romans 1:18-32 documents a number of things that reveal the wrath of God from heaven. We should carefully consider these things and if we are practicing them we should immediately repent.

Successful Fathers

David, Solomon and Samuel are Bible heroes. They are associated with greatness, faith and success. But they also have something else in common. While successful men, they struggled with fatherhood. All three had sons who were disappointments. Yet, all three of these fathers should have been very familiar with a passage of Scripture the Jews call the Shema. In Deuteronomy 6:4-9, there are three principles of fatherhood that makes successful men successful fathers.
